Wow. Something bad happened to my blog over the last 24 hours. First, random Service Unavailable messages. Then, my blog started serving up Kanji. Rather than debug the problem I decided to wipe it out and upgrade to dasBlog 1.7.

I'd actually intended to do this weeks ago. I had also intended to redesign the site. The old one was pretty heavyweight, crowded, and the homepage itself is a couple 100k in size. But because of the quick fix nature, I didn't get a chance to do much right now. It's fairly plain, but I like the simplicity. I'll try to shnazz it up at some point.

Now I just need to fix the broken images problem. Methinks my hosting company is throttling my bandwidth, and they might cut down on images as the first tier of throttling. I should probably thank them, as it might prevent me from spiking even higher and paying extra per MB/mo. Traffic on this site has increased a lot over the past few months, and I suspect I'm going to have to pay the extra $$$ for the additional bandwidth.
